Introduction to hand building: TEXTURE & SURFACE

March 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th

You will learn the basics of hand building including, coil, slab and press moulding. You will learn various techniques for decorating your work, including making and using your own sprig mould and tools. We will investigate colour with stains and coloured slips. Your work will be fired and you will have the opportunity to glaze it yourself to take home.

Students are encouraged to bring their own interests and follow self directed learning, with full support.

The course is perfect if you have never worked with porcelain before but is also suitable if you have some experience. Bring your ideas and lets get making.
